The Outer Worlds 2 is released six years after its predecessor. This new version is built on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5 and utilizes Lumen, Nanite, Virtual Shadow Maps and more UE5 features. Unlike many other recent releases, there is actually support for hardware ray tracing. Also included is support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. Frame generation is available for NVIDIA and Intel, but not for AMD—no idea why.
