Brentford captain Nathan Collins speaking to Sky Sports: “Unbelievable. We come at home and we always have faith. Here, we are a bit of a menace of a team.”
On Igor Thiago: “He is not bad is he! He is alright. He works so hard every day and he deserves everything he gets.”

‘We are a bit of a menace at home’, says Collins
Brentford captain Nathan Collins speaking to Sky Sports: “Unbelievable. We come at home and we always have faith. Here, we are a bit of a menace of a team.”
On Igor Thiago: “He is not bad is he! He is alright. He works so hard every day and he deserves everything he gets.”
On the win: “I didn’t think we were bad and probably didn’t create enough but we knew we had to ramp it up again and we did.
“It is so awkward against 10 men and you think you should dominate. You have to be composed and get the third goal and we did.
“We just keep winning games and if he keeps scoring goals, we can keep going higher.”
4:28PM
Brentford long-throw specialists.
Since the start of last season, Brentford have scored nine Premier League goals from throw-in situations, at least double that of any other side.
4:27PM
Villa ‘recovering from bad start to season’, says Emery
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports: “I am very happy with the win. We are recovering from a bad start to the season.
“The effort physically was a huge effort and to manage the squad with different players with the effort we needed we can feel proud after the game.
“This is the level of the players. We are trying to set our standards in everything, every day how we prepare the game and the quality of the players is important. Fantastic goal and Emi has this quality to score set piece goals.
“How the players got the commitment before the match to focus and in the way we played is really something. This is how we are building and trying to recover, feeling better in the league and Europa League to get the performances we need for the future.
“Now our balance is better in the squad with the players, more focus and getting the challenges we have. The players are responding well on the field.
“Very important how we finished today, winning and feeling good.”
4:25PM
Palace extend unbeaten home run
Crystal Palace have stretched their unbeaten run at home in the Premier League to 12 matches (W6 D6), the longest current unbeaten home run in the competition.
4:22PM
Iraola: ‘I am worried about the first half’
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to BBC MOTD: “Everything has gone wrong from the beginning, we had the clash and had to make the change. It’s not a reason to lose.
“I am worried about the first half. We were poor defensively, it’s a warning from the league. Two difficult away games but we have not been at our level.
“Three goals from set plays. The first is an amazing goal from Emi Buendia. Three goals from set pieces is too much but it’s not just this we have to focus on the things we can do. We were pushing them a lot in the second half, more like us, but this first 45 minutes worry me a bit.
“We hit the post, had the penalty, clear chances to score at 2-1 and make the end of the game more nervous for them. But we didn’t take them, you have to punish them and we didn’t.”
On Adam Smith, he said: “It was a very hard knock, he was bleeding and I don’t know if he lost consciousness but he didn’t was not feeling well to continue.
“I feel more calm now because I talked to him and he’s fine, he remembers everything. In the moment it was a hard knock and I hope it’s not something more serious.”
4:18PM
Thiago ‘happy with performance’
Brentford striker Igor Thiago speaking to Sky Sports: “I am happy with my performance and thank you God for everything he gives me every day. We just keep going.”
On where he gets his talent from, he said: “From God. He gave me everything. Where I come from, it is so hard, and it comes from him.
“The way we work every single day. Together, everyone does our job, and then on the pitch the things come easy.”
4:16PM
WATCH: Thiago gives Brentford lead
Igor Thiago has now scored eight goals in the Premier League this season. Only Erling Haaland has scored more.
The striker moves ahead of Danny Welbeck, Antoine Semenyo and Jean-Philippe Mateta who remain on six after drawing blanks today.

‘Wasn’t good enough’ - Cook
Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook speaking to Sky Sports: “We’re up against a top team, no one should underestimate the players they’ve got. We weren’t pressing with the intent they were. Second half we were more ourselves but then things changed.”
On what manager said at half time**:** “He wasn’t happy at all. We didn’t show what we’re about. We’ve set such high standards for ourselves the last couple of seasons. He wanted more intensity and belief.
“We’re not a team that loses 4-0 and thinks it’s acceptable. We have to learn from it. It’s come at a time where players are leaving [on international break] so we have to analyse and reflect when we’re back together.
“The first half wasn’t good enough. We didn’t deserve to go in at half time drawing or winning. These things happen in football. We’ve got players that have won us games this season but sometimes it doesn’t work out.”
4:10PM
‘Massive win’, says Gibbs-White
Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White, speaking to Sky Sports: “Massive win. We went 1-0 down and it didn’t feel like we deserved that.
“The boys defended great and we took our chances. The boys who came on helped the team. We got the three points and got it done.
On Hutchinson: “He’s been through a tough period recently. He stayed resilient and strong. He proved today why he should be in the 11.
“Delighted to get another goal but more importantly we got the win.”

3:58PM
GOAL! Thiago seals victory for Brentford
**Brentford 3 Newcastle United 1 (Thiago) **What a wonderful afternoon for Brentford and their star forward.
The ball is played into the left channel and a sliding challenge from a Newcastle defender puts the ball into the path of Thiago, who tucks home past Ramsdale.
3:56PM
90+6 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Palace have the free-kick down their left and it’s Pino to send it into the box.
Lerma heads it back across goal and it reaches Pino, arriving in the area, but the winger’s low, drilled volley is saved at the near post by Verbruggen.
Lacroix then heads over the top from the corner.
3:55PM
90+3 mins: Brentford 2 Newcastle United 1
We are into added time around the grounds, there are 11 minutes added on at the Gtech.
3:53PM
GOAL! Anderson seals victory from the spot
Nottingham Forest 3 Leeds United 1 (Anderson) Hutchinson skips past Harrison and drives into the right of the box before being tripped from behind by the Leeds man, who is playing at full-back.
There is a VAR check for whether the contact was in the box but replays show it was on the line so the decision remains.
It’s Anderson who steps up, after Gibbs-White missed in the week, and the England midfielder fires home into the left of the goal.
3:50PM
90+1 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
There will be seven minutes of added time at Selhurst Park as it boils over once again at a Brighton corner.
We have had more incidents of handbags than shots on target in this contest.
3:49PM
86 mins: Nottingham Forest 2 Leeds United 1
Close for Leeds! Stach sends in a deep corner but Calvert-Lewin heads just wide of the target.
3:48PM
GOAL! Malen makes it four with deflection of Tielemans strike
**Aston Villa 4 Bournemouth 0 (Malen) **Aston Villa are running riot at Villa Park!
The corner is worked short and the ball is laid to the edge of the box for Tielemans, who takes aim with a fist-time effort.
The low strike takes a nick off Malen, wrong-footing Petrovic, and finds the bottom left corner.
3:45PM
84 mins: Brentford 2 Newcastle 1
This turnaround at Brentford has been coming from the moment Newcastle kicked off after the break. I mean that literally: from kick-off, Tonali tried to smash the ball out for a throw-in in Brentford’s half. But he accidentally shanked it out for a goal-kick. Talk about setting the tone...
3:44PM
82 mins: Nottingham Forest 2 Leeds United 1
Forest’s second goal owed much to an outstanding long pass from Murillo.
The Brazilian centre-back’s pass of around 60 yards was inch perfect for Omari Hutchinson, whose cross to Gibbs-White was also precise.
Forest are in the ascendancy now as they aim to secure Sean Dyche his first league win.
3:41PM
GOAL! Barkley heads home Villa’s third
**Aston Villa 3 Bournemouth 0 (Barkley) **Villa earn the corner down the right and it’s a wonderful inswinging delivery towards the near post from Digne, that Barkley gets to first, glancing a superb header into the far corner.
What a great result this is for Unai Emery’s men.
3:40PM
GOAL! Thiago gives Brentford the lead from the spot
**Brentford 2 Newcastle United 1 (Thiago) **Eventually, long after the spot-kick was given, Thiago steps up for Brentford and he slots home into the bottom right corner, sending Ramsdale the wrong way.
3:38PM
77 mins: Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1
Before the penalty is taken, Newcastle are bringing on Ramsdale to replace Pope. It is unclear whether it is a tactical move or if Pope has an issue.
Barnes, Tonali and Murphy also make way for Elanga, Willock and Hall.
3:36PM
Penalty! Brentford awarded spot-kick as Burn sees red
**Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1 **Brentford now do have the penalty and again it’s Burn at the heart of it. Ouattara gets to the long ball in behind just in front of the Newcastle man, who is judged to have caught the winger.
After a moment of deliberation, the referee brandishes the second yellow card and Burn is off. The contact is so minimal but the decision is confirmed by the VAR.
3:32PM
GOAL! Gibbs-White heads Forest in front
Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1 (Gibbs-White) Forest have turned things around and what an impact from Hutchinson!
Not long after coming on, the winger cuts inside from the right and whips a sensational ball into the box that is glanced home from close range by Gibbs-White.
3:31PM
Penalty missed! Semenyo denied by Martinez
Aston Villa 2 Bournemouth 0 Bournemouth win the penalty as Rogers is deemed to have handled the ball in the box but Semenyo’s spot-kick, aimed towards the bottom left corner, is saved by Martinez!
3:29PM
67 mins: Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1
Brentford have been threatening from set-pieces all day and that’s where the equaliser has come from. It’s another long throw from Michael ‘Delap’ Kayode, which is diverted into the path of Kevin Schade.
After a drab first half, we now have a proper game. Newcastle have been awful since the break.
3:28PM
66 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
The low quality entertainment has continued in the second half here. Both teams seem incapable of building any momentum, and it is all so scrappy.
3:27PM
65 mins: Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1
The ball drops with Thiago on the edge of the box and he unleashes a sensational first-time volley but it’s tipped over by Pope.
3:27PM
64 mins: Aston Villa 2 Bournemouth 0
There are changes at Villa Park with Kroupi, Adli and Christie coming on for Kluivert, Truffert and Scott.
3:25PM
63 mins: Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1
Ouattara goes down in the box after skipping past Burn and there are huge appeals for a penalty but the winger is booked for simulation.
There is a VAR check and it looks as if there is contact from Burn’s foot but the decision remains, with the contact minimal. Perhaps harsh on Brentford and a let-off maybe for Burn, who had been booked already.
3:23PM
64 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Brighton think they have won a penalty at Selhurst Park as Rutter goes down under the challenge of Mitchell and Wharton but after a VAR check the decision is overturned and the Brighton man is booked for simulation.
3:22PM
59 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
There are changes coming at the City Ground with Hutchinson, Yates and Awoniyi coming on for Dominguez, Sangare and Jesus.
3:20PM
GOAL! Schade levels it for Brentford from long throw
**Brentford 1 Newcastle United 1 (Schade) **Brentford are back on level terms and of course, it comes from the long throw.
Kayade launches it into the box from the right and it’s inadvertently flicked on at the near post by Newcastle defender Botman, picking out Schade who nods home from close range.
3:17PM
58 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Game loosening at touch but still goalless. Palace wasted a promising break after Wharton won the ball, Kamada miscontrolling Sarr’s deflected cross. Brighton looking threatening in the air but yet to force a difficult save from Henderson as we near an hour played.
3:16PM
53 mins: Aston Villa 2 Bournemouth 0
Truffert brings down McGinn and the home fans are screaming for a second yellow for the full-back but it’s just a talking to from the referee.
3:15PM
56 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Palace have to do better there! Wharton nicks it in midfield and plays Sarr into the right of the box but the ball gets stuck under his feet and he can’t get an effort away.
He manages to get the ball back to Kamada, but he blazes an effort wide of the top left corner.
3:10PM
49 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1
Burn picks up an early booking in this second half for a foul on Ouattarra as the winger looked to roll him. It was very soft.
3:09PM
46 mins: Aston Villa 2 Bournemouth 0
Aston Villa’s home tie with Bournemouth is the final match to get back underway for the second half.
Lewis Cook has been brought on for substitute Alex Jimenez.
3:08PM
46 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1
The second half is underway at the Gtech, with Newcastle kicking things off as they look for a rare away win.
We are back underway at the City Ground too, with the home side kicking off the second period.
3:05PM
46 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Minteh delivers a really dangerous, inswinging cross towards the back post but Gomez doesn’t get enough contact on his header and it’s easy for Henderson.
3:04PM
46 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
There were only two minutes of added time at Selhurst Park at the end of the opening period, so this contest is the first to get back underway. Will either side manage to break the deadlock?
3:02PM
Efficient from Leeds
Leeds have scored with their only shot of the match - efficiency. It was the first time they managed only had one shot in the first half of a league game under Daniel Farke.
2:53PM
HT: Brentford 0 Newcastle 1
In truth, this has been a mid-table sort of match from two mid-table teams. In many ways that will be more concerning for Newcastle, given their aspirations to be fighting for places much higher up the table.
Howe’s side certainly haven’t had the look or feel of a Champions League team here but they do have the lead at the break, courtesy of Harvey Barnes. The winger’s goal remains the only moment of attacking class that we have seen so far.
2:52PM
Half-time whistles going
The half-time whistles are blown at the Gtech and the City Ground, and we have just a couple more minutes of stoppage time at Villa Park.
2:51PM
45+4 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
Leeds have the free-kick about 30 or 40 yards out and Longstaff looks to play a disguised pass into the channel, rather than sending it into the box, but he passes it straight to the Forest wall.
The Leeds midfielder does then do well to make the challenge and stop the counter.
2:49PM
Half-time: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
It’s half-time at Selhurst Park and despite a good bit of needle between the sides, there has been a lack of quality and it’s goalless at the break.
2:48PM
Into stoppage time
There is a fair bit of added time around the grounds. Seven minutes at Villa Park, five at Brentford, four at the City Ground but just two at Selhurst Park.
2:47PM
45+1 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Wharton loses it on halfway, presenting Palace with the chance to counter, but Minteh drags his effort wide of the near post from the right of the box.
2:46PM
45 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
Murillo has gone into the book at the City Ground for dragging down Okafor.
2:45PM
45 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Welbeck and Lerma are the latest players to clash at Selhurst Park following a challenge from the striker on Mitchell.
2:44PM
44 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1
Brentford have been putting on the pressure with a series of long throws, but Newcastle are coping for now.
2:42PM
GOAL! Onana makes it two from the edge of the area
**Aston Villa 2 Bournemouth 0 (Onana) **Villa have been pushing for a second and they have it from Onana.
Rogers picks the ball up on the left and skips past his man with a nutmeg before laying the ball to Onana on the edge of the area.
The midfielder takes a touch before firing a powerful effort into the bottom left corner, beating Petrovic at the near post.
2:40PM
40 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
Very scrappy game so far at the City Ground.
Two teams clearly short on confidence and there have been mistakes all over the pitch.
Sean Dyche needs a big performance from captain Morgan Gibbs-White, who was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad.
2:40PM
39 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1
Brentford are looking typically dangerous from set-pieces. They haven’t created much from open play but the corners and throw-ins are causing quite a few issues for Newcastle’s defence. Nick Pope looks anxious.
2:39PM
39 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Not been a huge afternoon so far at Selhurst for fans of goals or even shots on target, but it’s a fun game. Palace so frightening on the break, with Sarr, Lerma and Kamada all capable of turning Brighton in an instant from unpromising positions.
Brighton defending with the commitment and alertness required though, and some spice is creeping in too. Dunk and Canvot just exchanged shirt pulls and stern words waiting while for Lerma’s long throw.
2:38PM
37 mins: Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1
Savona sends a nicely-shaped ball into the area from the right but Jesus can only direct his header over the bar.
2:36PM
36 mins: Aston Villa 1 Bournemouth 0
Watkins nearly doubles Villa’s lead, driving into the left of the area before taking aim with his left foot but Milosavljevic defends the situation well and makes the block, deflecting the strike behind for a corner.
2:35PM
35 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
It remains goalless at Selhurst Park, but it’s spicing up now, with Van Hecke and Lacroix getting a bit physical with each other and Canvot getting involved with a shove.
2:33PM
33 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1
At last, a moment of quality. Fabulous goal by Barnes, who sits down two Brentford defenders with one dummy. You wouldn’t say it has been coming but that should help Newcastle to settle down.
2:32PM
GOAL! Barnes fires Newcastle ahead at Brentford
**Brentford 0 Newcastle United 1 (Barnes) **Newcastle have the lead and that is brilliant from Barnes!
The Newcastle winger picks the ball up in the left of the box and he sells two defenders with a dummy on his right foot to chop back onto his left before firing past Kelleher with a low, driven strike.
2:30PM
GOAL! Buendia gives Villa lead with free-kick
**Aston Villa 1 Bournemouth 0 (Buendia) **Jimenez bundles into the back of Buendia on the edge of the area and the Bournemouth full-back is the latest player to go into the book.
So, it’s the hosts’ turn to have a free-kick right on the edge of the box and Buendia picks out the top left corner with a dipping, knuckleball strike. Sensational from the forward!
2:26PM
25 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 0
Joelinton, who was struggling early on at the Gtech, has now had to make way and he has been replaced by Ramsey.
2:25PM
24 mins: Aston Villa 0 Bournemouth 0
At Villa Park, Morgan Rogers picked up a yellow card for a foul on Bournemouth forward Evanilson a few moments ago.
Scott has just gone on a brilliant driving to the edge of the Villa box and he is brought down by Kamara, who goes into the book too.
It’s Tavernier who steps up, right on the edge of the area, but his thunderous effort is fired over the bar.
2:22PM
21 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Fabian Hurzeler has picked up a yellow card in the last few moments for his complaints to the referee. That’s his third booking of the season so he’s now suspended from the touchline for the next game.
2:21PM
20 mins: Brentford 0 Newcastle United 0
I’ll be honest, it hasn’t been the most thrilling start at Brentford. It’s all a bit... attritional. Brentford have gone close from a set-piece scramble but there really hasn’t been anything else to report from the opening 19 minutes. Newcastle look sleepy on the road again. Long way to go, though.
2:20PM
19 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Reasonably raucous noise at Selhurst Park for the A23 derby, which is match full of potential faux pas for the neutral.
Don’t call it the M23 derby, the pedants will point out that road will only get you as far as Gatwick. Don’t say it’s without meaning, both fans feel quite strongly that it is not. Don’t even call it a derby, according to some, who reckon “rivalry” is more appropriate given the 45 miles between the clubs. Anyway - they don’t like each other.
Palace with best chance so far, Mateta flashing over when put past the last defender. Gomez has just tested Henderson with a firm shot, well saved but offside flag up anyway.
2:19PM
GOAL! Sangare scores instant equaliser for Forest
**Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds United 1 (Sangare) **What a great response that is from Forest, scoring just over two minutes after conceding.
Ndoye sends the cross into the box from the right and it’s parried away by Perri but Sangare is arriving to fire home on the rebound from the penalty spot.
2:17PM
GOAL! Nmecha opens the scoring for Leeds
**Nottingham Forest 0 Leeds United 1 (Nmecha) **After weathering the early Forest storm, Leeds have the advantage and it’s a great goal.
Okafor nips in front of Savona to pinch the ball high up the pitch before finding Aaronson on the edge of the area.
The winger feeds Nmecha into the right of the box and the forward shifts the ball onto his right foot before firing home into the bottom left corner.
2:15PM
12 mins: Nottingham Forest 0 Leeds United 0
Forest have the corner from their right and the ball drops to Ndoye, just inside the area. The forward’s effort takes a big deflection but Perri reacts superbly to make the stop.
2:12PM
12 mins: Aston Villa 0 Bournemouth 0
Smith is not happy that he is going to have be substituted but it’s the right call if there is any doubt and Jiminez is the concussion substitute on in his place.
2:11PM
11 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Palace should be ahead! Sarr is played into the right of the area by a sensational pass from Wharton, using the outside of his boot, but the winger fires wide of the far post. He may have been just offside.
2:10PM
9 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
Brighton put together a slick move through the Palace midfield but Weiffer’s final cross is sliced behind.
Moments later and Gomez takes aim after Palace clear a corner but Henderson reacts well o make the save.
2:08PM
7 mins: Aston Villa 0 Bournemouth 0
Both of the Bournemouth players are back on their feet, which is a good sign, but Smith might have to make way. Adams, meanwhile looks like he will continue.
2:06PM
5 mins: Aston Villa 0 Bournemouth 0
There is a nasty clash of heads between Bournemouth’s Smith and Adams, who were going for the same ball, so there is going to be a pretty lengthy break in play at Villa Park.
2:05PM
3 mins: Nottingham Forest 0 Leeds United 0
Gibbs-White has an early effort on goal from the edge of the box but it’s turned around the post by Perri. The resulting corner comes to nothing for the hosts.
2:04PM
2 mins: Crystal Palace 0 Brighton 0
There are some notable absentees across the four games, none more so than Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi who is out with a foot injury.
Across London, Newcastle are missing Anthony Gordon, who picked up an injury in the Champions League midweek. There is another early concern for Howe with Joelinton picking up a knock at the Gtech, but he will be able to run it off.
2:01PM
Here we go!
All four of this afternoon’s 2pm game are underway, we will bring you all the latest goals and developments from each match.
1:57PM
Teams ready to go
The teams are out on the pitches and ready to go around the grounds, but first there will be a minute’s silence held at each game in honour of Remembrance Sunday.
1:47PM
Newcastle’s struggles on the road
The difference between’s Newcastle’s form at home and on the road has been stark.
Eddie Howe’s men have won their last five home games in all competitions, but have claimed victory in just one of their six away matches this season, failing to do so at all in the Premier League.
1:43PM
‘We need our top-level’, says Iraola
On the challenge Villa present, Andoni Iraola said this week: “You know more or less what they are going to do, but they do it very well. We need our top-level performance if we want to beat them because the level of the game is going to be very high.”
1:38PM
Leeds’ struggles at the City Ground
Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in their last 13 top-flight home games against Leeds in a record dating back to 1971.
However, Leeds won 2-1 in the last Premier League meeting between the sides in April 2023.
1:34PM
Can Forest stop the rot at the back?
Could this be the day when Forest finally end their wait for a Premier League clean sheet?
It is now a whopping 18 matches since Forest last managed to avoid conceding in the league. That was the 1-0 win over Manchester United on April 1.
It is the worst record in all four divisions of English football and Sean Dyche - whose teams are usually renowned for their defensive solidity - urgently needs to end the run or face a relegation battle.
1:32PM
Newcastle dominate head-to-head
Brentford have won just one of their eight Premier League games against Newcastle, losing six of those meetings.
However, their one victory did come in this fixture last season, with the west London side winning 4-2 at the Gtech.
1:29PM
‘We need the game to look how we want’, says Andrews
Brentford manager Keith Andrews has said: “We know what we need to do today in terms of the basics.
“We are well aware of what they (Newcastle) have but for us it’s about approaching the game the way we want. We want it to look and feel the way we want and we have to focus on that.”
1:27PM
Gordon ‘wasn’t close’ to being fit, says Howe
Eddie Howe speaking to Sky Sports about Anthony Gordon’s fitness: “He wasn’t close in the end. The scan revealed a very slight problem in his hip and it’s a good opportunity for Harvey (Barnes) to come in.
“We have to deliver something different. That day (against West Ham) was painful for us. Hopefully, we have learnt a lot. Now we have to start picking up points.”

1:24PM
Huge game for both Forest and Leeds
It is only November, but this already feels like a huge game for both Nottingham Forest and Leeds.
Forest have not won in the Premier League since the opening day and are only four points above bottom club Wolves.
Leeds have lost three of their last four matches under Daniel Farke.
It feels like one of those matches which could really kickstart a season for the winner (if there is one).
1:21PM
Can Newcastle win on the road?
Could today finally be the day for Newcastle to win a game away from home? They have not done so in the Premier League this season. They are currently a team that is only capable of performing well in front of their own supporters.
This trip to Brentford is unlikely to be straightforward, then, for Eddie Howe’s men. Not least because Brentford have beaten both Manchester United and Liverpool at the Gtech Community Stadium in recent weeks.
Newcastle’s return of 12 points from 10 league games is their worst under Howe
1:18PM
‘He can’t even walk’ - Guehi out with foot injury
Oliver Glasner has told Sky Sports that Marc Guehi suffered a foot injury late on against AZ Alkmaar.
The Palace boss added: “He can’t even walk, the last two days he was on crutches. It looks like he can’t play for England as well.”
Glasner said that Adam Wharton’s call-up to England motivated the midfielder in his return from injury.
1:16PM
Tough task for Bournemouth
Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against Bournemouth, winning three matches in that time.
Unai Emery’s side have lost just one of their last 23 home Premier League matches. During the last two seasons, only Liverpool Manchester City and Arsenal have more home points in the Premier League.
1:09PM
Palace do double over rivals
Crystal Palace won both Premier League meetings with Brighton last season, winning 3-1 at the Amex in December before claiming a 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park in April.
They had beaten their rivals just twice in the previous 12 meetings, losing six of those.

Brentford vs Newcastle & Forest vs Leeds injury news
On team news, Brentford’s Keith Andrews said: “I’ve just seen Antoni Milambo around an hour ago, he’s on crutches but looks good. The operation went well. Josh Dasilva is back on the grass and he’s doing pretty well.”
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said he does not think Anthony Gordon’s injury is serious but he will probably not feature today. He said Will Osula’s injury is also not serious but he could be out for a few weeks.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke said Dominic Calvert-Lewin picked up an abductor injury in his last game and has not been training. Sebastiaan Bornauw “got a hit against his MCL so there is a question mark”.
Wilfried Gnonto “has been back in training for two full weeks”, while Dan James “is back and ready to start again”.

Villa vs Bournemouth & Brighton vs Palace injury news
Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, Tyler Adams and Alex Jimenez have all overcome fitness issues, so Andoni Iraola has the same group to select from as last week.
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery said Youri Tielemans is “consistently getting better and fitter” after recovering from a calf injury. He said it was “very good” to see him make his first appearance for the club since September, but the club will be cautious with his return.
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner said: “At the moment it looks like all of the players involved in Crystal Palace’s game against AZ in the Uefa Conference League will be available.”
Brighton manager Fabien Hurzeler said he feels like he needs a list at the moment to name injured players“because there are quite a lot”. James Milner, Brajan Gruda and Jack Hinshelwood are still unavailable.
Joel Veltman will be available after recovering from a calf injury but it will be more of a 50-50 decision with Kaoru Mitoma, who is “very close” to his return from an ankle injury.

Bournemouth target second, Palace host rivals Brighton
Good afternoon and welcome to Telegraph Sport’s live, minute-by-minute clockwatch for this afternoon’s Premier League fixtures, with eight teams in action at 14:00.
Bournemouth will be looking to bounce back from their defeat against Manchester City and climb to second in the table as they travel to take on Aston Villa. Andoni Iraola’s side start the afternoon in seventh, but are just two points behind second-placed Chelsea.
However, Unai Emery’s men are tough to beat at Villa Park, losing just once in their last 23 home games in the league, with a 1-0 win over City in their last league match on home soil. A win for the hosts, who beat Maccabi Tel Aviv in midweek, would see them go level with Bournemouth as one of five sides on 18 points.
Villa start the afternoon level on points with Brighton and Hove Albion, who are making the trip to Selhurst Park to face rivals Crystal Palace in what some label the M23 derby. Fabien Hurzeler’s men, who cruised to victory over Leeds United last weekend, are just one point and one place behind the south London side.
After going without a win in four successive matches in all competitions, losing three of those, Palace have returned to form, winning their last three games across three different competitions. Oliver Glasner’s side knocked out Liverpool in the League Cup before picking up wins over Brentford in the league and AZ Alkmaar in Europe.
There is another contest between neighbouring teams in the table in the capital this afternoon, with 13th-placed Brentford hosting 14th-placed Newcastle United. Keith Andrews’ side have been one of the surprise packages of this season and before their defeat at Palace had won three of their last four in the league.
They face a Newcastle side who look like a different side away from home compared to the one that appears at St James’ Park. Eddie Howe’s men have won their last five home games in all competitions, but have claimed victory in just one of their six matches on the road this season.
There is a crucial match towards the bottom of the league, with Nottingham Forest hosting Leeds, as Sean Dyche looks for his first win in the league since taking over at the City Ground. The former Everton boss has overseen a win, two draws and a defeat in his tenure so far, with the only league game ending in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United last weekend.
Forest, without a win in their last nine league games, start the day in 19th, four points adrift of safety and five points behind their opponents this afternoon, who have registered one victory in their last five league games.
