We were impressed with the doorbell cam’s recording quality, color night vision, and overall responsiveness when we went to check its live video feed. Its battery lasted about two months in our tests, and while people and package detection worked fine you’ll need an optional Ring Home plan (starting at $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year) for automatic animal and vehicle detection.
