• Prep: Before applying makeup, St. Jaimes recommends prepping the skin with a hydrating or emollient eye cream, and/or a moisturizer, depending on your skin type.
• Color Correction: If needed, St. Jaimes suggests using a tone color corrector before layering on a concealer. She says that a peach or orange tone corrector, applied with a light touch, will help offset dark circles, age spots, or hyperpigmentation.
• Application: When it’s time to conceal, St. Jaimes advises using fingertips, a small brush, or a slightly damp sponge to dab on a small amount of product at a time. If needed, build coverage gradually to avoid caking. “To extend the coverage and longevity of your concealer, allow it to sit for a moment before blending, rather than working it in immediately,” she notes.
