Showing off a bit of my old Tumblr self with calling this a “Reblog”, but what else are you gonna call the analog of an “email reply” to a blog?

In my last post I thought about why I setup & paid for a bear blog, especially when I value ownership, customization, and have the technical experience to make a finely-engineered personal website that’s like anything I want. James seems to have the same issue I did, and I think explained why I went down this route better than I could.
In my previous blogs, I’d end up re-templating the damn thing every time I’d write a new posts, falling into the same “tinkering trap” as him.
The goal of my last post was express my thoughts so I’d get some closure about it, but it didn’t work out. I’ve been ruminating on it since then. James’s post here actually brought that feeling of closure, due to how much I can relate.
So, thanks for that James. I appreciate the post you wrote. I can say it’s helped at least one person.
