APA DSM-5 Diagnostic Criteria for PTSD

PTSD is the development of characteristic symptoms after exposure to one or more traumatic events. All of the diagnostic criteria must be met to be diagnosed with PTSD, according to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5).1,2
