True to form, I registered a domain, picked a blogging platform (Tumblr at the time), and started sharing. That went on for a while, until I was no longer a photo editor in real life. I carefully picked the last photo I’d post, and that was it.
A week later, I left my staff position, and became a freelancer. I, literally, left the building! A couple of years went by, I stopped paying for the domain. The site lives on, with a Tumblr subdomain attached to it.
It might come as a surprise, but, all these years later, I’m still very much a photos-and-computers kind of individual. And I still share an incredible amount of photos, but they’re mostly my own. Sorry about that.
What if I got back to it? You’d come out on top, of course, since you’d be able, for once, to look at good photos! It wouldn’t be so photojournalism-heavy, that would be another plus.
Then I remembered! David is doing the exact same thing already! You should just follow David, and the Things David Likes: on Mastodon, and site!
Heck, it’s even using Tumblr!
