I’ve been using Statamic 6 for a few months now, while it was going through its alpha releases, and am so impressed with where it has evolved to.
In this video, I’ll talk about my three favourite standout features in Statamic 6 - one nerdy, and two with some neat little demos.
Up first is the Command Palette in the Control Panel (CP).
With a simple keystroke of Cmd+K/Ctrl+K, the Command Palette makes it easy for you to search across all of your content, assets and users within the CP, plus other areas of the platform like Blueprints and Fieldsets.
This makes it incredibly fast and efficient to get around the CP - especially when working on building new features and going to different areas.

Secondly, the underlying tech.
Statamic 6 supports Laravel 12.40+. That’s the latest version of Laravel. I love this as it shows the core is looking towards the future, rather than supporting older versions.
Also with 6 is the rewrite from Vue 2 to Vue 3 (again, latest version, so modern tech), as well as Inertia for CP routing and user experience (UX).
This gives me so much confidence in the future of the platform - and the capabilities of the core Statamic team to keep moving forwards, rather than getting bogged down by older version limitations.
And finally, the new UI Components.
Based on Reka UI, the new UI Components for Statamic 6 are used by the core team to build the entire CP UI - and are also available to devs to use to build their own custom addons and features.
Using these components creates a cohesive user experience for your content authors - and greatly streamlines the development process.
